Claudia DeMonte has had more than sixty solo Exhibitions and hundreds of group exhibitions. Her work is in many permanent civic, institutional, and corporate collections She is a professor of art at the University of Maryland, where she has been named a Distinguished Scholar/Teacher. Married to the sculptor Ed McGowin, she lives in New York City and in Sharon, Connecticut.
