Parrett, Favel (Author)


Favel Parrett is an Australian author whose first novel Past the Shadows, was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Literary award 2012 and also won the Dobbie Literary Prize and Newcomer of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards. She was also awarded the Antartic Arts Fellowship allowing her to travel to Antartica to complete research for her next novel When the Night Comes. She has been shortlisted for several awards including Miles Franklin Award 2012, Book of the Year, Australian Book Industry 2012, and Debut Fiction, The Indie Awards 2012. In 2015 she made the ABA Nielsen Book Data Booksellers Choice Award shortlist for When the Night Comes. She will also be a featured guest at the Tasmanian Writers and Readers Festival 2015.
