Eric Greitens was born in Missouri. After earning a Ph.D. and serving as a humanitarian volunteer overseas, he joined the Navy SEALs. He is the founder of the nonprofit The Mission Continues. He is the author of The Heart and the Fist and Resilience: Hard-Won Wisdom for Living a Better Life.
