More DescriptionCarl Keaton owned a French restaurant in New York City. He never cared for the culinary prowess of the Chardonnay-sipping, stinky cheese-eating, high-cultured French. He just wanted an excuse to name his restaurant Le Detroit, or The Strait. The only thing Carl loved more than his restaurant was his hometown, Detroit. The only thing he loved more than Detroit was cocaine. On a busy night, only months after the 9/11 attacks - while the piggish, dinnertime horde is happily devouring the upscale slop - Carl is stabbed in the throat in the men's bathroom. It's up to a waitress and a chef to figure out who killed the owner of the small French restaurant. Keaton's death turns into a conspiratorial affair befitting a Kennedy. It seems many people wanted the seemingly sweet Motor City native dead - former friends, members of the Abbatelli Crime Family, and even his own underpaid and oversexed staff.
