Jean-Georges Vongerichten won the 1998 James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef and Best New Restaurant. His Manhattan restaurants include Vong, JoJo, the Mercer Kitchen, and Jean Georges, which earned a rare four-star rating from The New York Times.
