She learns that everything was razed by a fire after her departure. The sick wife had set the castle on fire. Then she threw herself off the roof. During the events, Mr. Rochester lost his sight and one of his hands. He remained alone in a remote mansion.Despite her distressed state, Jane joins him to celebrate their wedding with the money of his legacy. In this happiness, Mr. Rochester partially regains his sight and also his health.
