Alan Shipnuck is a staff writer at "Sports Illustrated." In 1994, at age twenty-one, he became the youngest person ever to write a cover story for the magazine with an article on Ken Griffey, Jr. A graduate of UCLA, he also writes two golf columns a week for CNNSI.com & is a contributor to "Travel & Leisure Golf," "Golf & Travel," & "Golf for Women."
