It then covers his Arkansas political career from 1974 to October 3, 1991, when he announced his candidacy for president. The presidential campaign from October 4, 1991, to November 3, 1992, is covered in Part two, and Part three provides sources on the transition period from November 4, 1992 to the inauguration.
