More Description FULL-COLOR Version - Beautiful Artwork in COLOR!
An anthology containing stories, poems, and artwork from 30+ contributors about cats, dogs, horses, pigs, gerbils, cockatoos, birds, pets, and all things companion animals. Proceeds go to animal rescue. This particular volume will help an organization called B.A.R.K. MN (Minnesota)
ABOUT B.A.R.K.:
We rescue, care for, and rehome dogs in need. The majority of our dogs come from overcrowded shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized. We are an all-breed rescue and will accept dogs of any breed into foster care as long as we have a willing and open home available!
After locating and rescuing a dog, they receive quality veterinary care such as vaccinations, de-worming, a spay/neuter, and parasite control, as well as treatment for any other medical issues that are found. Every animal is altered prior to final adoption.
Adoption fees do not cover the care and maintenance that goes into each animal, but they certainly help offset some of the cost. We rely on donations from the public to help us continue to rescue. These donations can be monetary, food, leashes, toys, Frontline, and much more. New or used, we accept it all and put it to good use!
B.A.R.K.'s Prison Dog Program
B.A.R.K. has partnered with the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Lino Lakes to develop a fantastic program! Some of the B.A.R.K. foster dogs are now living and being "fostered" at the prison with the inmates. Since 2013, our prison pups have been playing, training, and getting ready for adoption every day with their handlers. This program has made it possible for us to save even more dogs and they are getting the best care possible!
