Author Biography
Oliver, Douglas (Author)
Douglas Oliver received a B.A. from Harvard & a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Vienna. During World War II he advised the U.S. government on Pacific Island affairs. An emeritus professor of anthropology at Harvard & the University of Hawai'i, he has documented his field work throughout the Pacific in numerous national & international publications.
