To The Right Reveeend The Bishop Op New-york: The undersigned, as the Presbyters selected by you to constitute a Court for the trial of the Presentment made against the Rev. Stephen H. Tyng, Junior, Rector of the Church of the Holy Trinity, New-York, for certain offences alleged in a complaint preferred against him from the Diocese of New-Jersey, having performed the duty to which you called them, hereby declare their decision on the charge contained in the said Presentment. The charge and specification are as follows: Charge.?Violation of Section 6 of Canon 12 of Title t of the Digest of the Canons for the government of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of America, passed and adopted in General Convention in Richmond, Virginia, October, 1859, by which Section of the said Canons it is provided, that No Minister belonging to this Church shall officiate either by preaching, reading prayers or otherwise, in the Parish, or within the Parochial Cure of another Clergyman, unless he have received express permission for that purpose from the Minister of the Parish or Cure, or, in his absence, from the Church Wardens and Vestrymen, or Trustees of the Congregation, or a majority of them. Specification 1.?In this, that the said, the Reverend Stephen H. Tyng, Junior, did, on the morning of Sunday, the 14th day of July, 1867, within the corporate bounds of the city of New-Brunswick, in the Diocese of New-Jersey, which city then constituted the Parochial Cure of the Reverend Alfred Stubbs, D. D., and the Reverend Edward B. Boggs, D.
