Author Biography
Goodman, Jeremiah (Author)
Irving Jeremiah Goodman was born in Niagara Falls, New York on October 22, 1922. He graduated from the Franklin School of Professional Art in New York City and took courses in interior decoration and commercial illustration at the New York School of Fine and Applied Art. During World War II, he worked as a machinist in Buffalo.

By 1952, he was illustrating newspaper advertisements for Lord & Taylor, articles in The New York Times Magazine and other publications, and covers for Interior Design. He would paint its covers for the next 15 years. In 1987, he was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame. His retrospective, Jeremiah: A Romantic Vision, was published in 2007. He died of heart failure on September 7, 2017 at the age of 94.
