Ah, it was indeed time the new chapel was finished. He looked regretfully at the posters pinned over the table in the porch. A House of Dreams. Collection in aid of the Building-Fund. Those who were turned away were so much money lost to the Building - Fund. He wondered what the Minister meant by A House of Dreams. But it doesn't matter what he means: it's the way he says it that takes with the people, he reflected. Morning, Jacob, said a hearty voice. It was Eliza Clarke, best-bonneted and smiling.
