War Stories Wounded in battle by 55 pieces of shrapnel -- seven in his testes, George Nicklin earned two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts. But what was important to him was his conversion from agnosticism to faith in God -- a faith which overcame dire predictions of disability and sterility and allowed him to engage in a successful healing practice of psychiatry for 51 years and, during 55 years of marriage to a wonderful woman, father of four children. He hopes these memories will help others struggling with battle scars. |
