Where Angels Die After seeing the tomb marker and the weeds growing around it, I was reminded of the words of our Gunney as we prepared to go down the cargo net into the Landing craft..."There won't be an angel left alive ten minutes after we hit the beach". How true this was. War is a dirty rotten business, the good die quickly. Wartime
idealism meets judicial corruption. |
